MBBS Full Form: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
MBBS Course Duration: 4.5+1= 5.5 years
MBBS Eligibility :10+2 with the subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
MBBS Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is a 5.5 years professional course for which the students are awarded the degrees in medicine and surgery upon successful completion of the course.
The minimum eligibility for the course is 10+2 with the subjects-Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with score minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of reserved category). The selection is made on the basis of the entrance exams conducted either on the national level or by individual institutes. The National Level Examination is conducted by NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test). Students also apply for AIIMS & JIPMER for MBBS Entrance Exam to get admission into MBBS programme.
The course is regulated by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and runs for a duration of 4.5 years (divided into semesters) +1 year compulsory internship. The medical graduates are entitled to use the term Doctor before his or her name as the prefix “Dr”

The tuition fee varies from government-funded to private colleges. The average fees range around INR 1-10 Lakhs to some private colleges charging as much as 30 Lakhs per-anum. However, AIIMS is one such institute with the fee structure as low as around INR 2,000.
What After MBBS Course
After completing MBBS course, along with medical internship you can get hired by medical college, hospital, nursing home, health corporations, health ministry, medical health society, back office medical consultancy and pharmaceutical industries. You can also work as General Physician or start your own individual medical clinic.
The average Medical Practise Income ranges between: INR 3-6 Lakhs.
Post Graduation after mbbs
An MBBS graduate may pursue specialization and go for the PG degree programmes leading to degree M.D (Doctor of Medicine) or M.S (Master of Surgery) or M.Sc (Medical) etc.
